Ready to Wear Saree FAQs
How to maintain a ready to wear saree?
You can maintain a ready to wear saree in the same manner as you would maintain a regular saree. The washing instructions for the ready to wear saree are the same as a regular saree. You can dry clean or iron a ready-to-wear saree like any stitched garment, for example, lehenga or dress.
Does the ready to wear saree come with hooks or a drawstring ?
The ready to wear saree #readytowearsaree #readymadesaree comes with a naada or drawstring to clasp the inner layers and includes a hook with 5 bars to clasp the pleats layer on the waist.
For those who prefer a velcro instead of a drawstring for any specific reason, we provide a velcro on request. However, we recommend a drawstring always as the velcro tends to damage the saree fabric.
Can I return the ready to wear saree if I don't like it?
Yes, you can return the saree if you're not happy with the product. Here are all details of our return policy:
Can I wear the ready to wear saree over a shapewear or own petticoat ?
Yes, you can. If you opt for an attached petticoat, we attach the petticoat to the saree itself when stitching the saree. We use a soft crepe fabric for the petticoat so that it doesn't shrink and gives a slim and compact look. With this option, you won't need a separate petticoat, you can directly wear the saree.
If you don't opt for an attached petticoat, we stitch the saree without it. You can wear it over shapewear, leggings, or any petticoat. Otherwise, the appearance of the saree is the same with or without an attached petticoat.

What is a pre draped saree?
A pre-draped saree is a convenient, stitched version of the traditional saree, designed for easy wear by anyone. The saree comes with the waist pleats pre-stitched according to your wait measurement, and features multiple hooks on the waistband for easy adjustment. If desired, the pallu pleats (shoulder pleats) can also be pre-stitched.
Shorter women often struggle with draping a saree because they need to tuck in a significant portion of the fabric, while taller women find the saree slipping due to insufficient fabric for tucking. Pre-draped sarees address these issues by being tailored to your exact height.
Key features and benefits of pre-draped sarees include:
Easy to wear
Consistent look every time
Modern designs and styles
Comfortable and secure fit
Variety of colors and fabric choices

How accurate are the product colours?
Minor variations may occur due to handloom craftsmanship and screen settings. We aim to keep images as true-to-colour as possible.
Why was I informed that the saree I selected is not available after I placed my order?
At WiMO, each saree is stitched to your individual measurements after we receive your order. Since we make fully customized ready-to-wear sarees, we don’t pre-stock all sarees. Instead, we work closely with our manufacturers to procure the saree fabric you choose and then tailor it for you.
Occasionally, manufacturers update us late about stock availability, which may result in a particular color or design being unavailable even after your order is placed.
In such cases, we will:
Offer you a choice of alternative sarees from our collection, OR
Immediately process a full refund if you have paid and prefer not to choose an alternative.
We sincerely regret the inconvenience this may cause, but this process allows us to give you a made-to-measure saree with the freshest collection options instead of selling pre-stitched, standard-size stock.
Do you cut the saree to make it ready-to-wear?
By default, we do not cut the saree. Instead, we fold it according to your height and stitch it into a ready-to-wear saree. This method closely mimics the traditional way of draping, where the saree is folded at the waist after making pleats.
However, in sarees with heavy borders or thicker fabrics, these folds can sometimes create a slight bulk at the waist. In such cases, we may recommend cutting the saree at the top to achieve a smoother, seamless finish.
The choice is entirely yours—some prefer to keep the saree uncut for sentimental or traditional reasons, while others opt for cutting to avoid bulk and get a sleeker look. We will guide you based on your saree and your preference.
