Is this readymade madisar suitable for Iyer and Iyengar styles?
Yes. Available in both Iyer and Iyengar styles, you can wear the madisar easily like a salwar (or pant). The salwar part is pre-stitched with all the folds and dhoti-style draping, tailored appropriately for each style. For the Iyer style, the kosuvam is also pre-stitched. The only step left is to drape the pallu or mundani over the shoulder. Depending on the style, the mundani is provided for draping on the left shoulder for the Iyengar style and on the right side for the Iyer style, ensuring an authentic and hassle-free wearing experience.
What measurements are required for madisar?
Hip and overall height measurements are required for madisar stitching, either iyer or iyengar. We stitch the madisar according to your hip and height measurements ensuring comfort and elegance. You can wear the readymade madisar effortlessly in a minute.
How many yards of saree do I need for stitching a madisar?
Typically, a 9-Yard Saree is sufficient for draping in the traditional Iyer or Iyengar Madisar style. However, for individuals with larger measurements, such as a hip size of 50 inches or more, a 10 or 10.5-yard saree may be needed to ensure proper coverage and comfortable draping.
Will the stitched madisar look authentic?
WiMO's ready-made 9 yards Madisar sarees cater to a diverse range of wearers while honoring the cultural significance of the attire. Madisars have two style of drape: Iyer kattu (tie) and the Iyengar kattu (tie). Both these styles of Madisar Sarees are known for being challenging to drape. WiMO Ready-made Madisar sarees offer a convenient solution for wearing this traditional attire, while preserving the traditional drape style.
Are alterations possible in a madisar after stitching?
For madisar sarees, only limited alterations are possible. For example, we may be able to increase the height slightly, but adjusting the fit for looseness or tightness is very challenging. This is why we take special care to confirm your measurements before stitching, ensuring the final drape is accurate and authentic.
what's the return policy for a ready to wear madisar?
Our return policy for a stitched Madisar is the same as for a Ready to Wear saree. However, since a Madisar is highly customized and strictly not reusable once stitched, we kindly request you to share accurate measurements and make use of our active customer support to confirm every detail before stitching. While a Ready to Wear saree also has limited reusability, it offers marginal scope for adjustments. With Madisar, this flexibility is much more restricted, so accuracy at the start is very important.
